Park Events

The Town of Lisbon sponsors several events during the summer.  Click HERE for details.


Swimming Instructions

The Town of Lisbon along with the Waukesha County Park and Planning Commission has arranged for the Red Cross Swim Instruction Program each summer.  The instructions are given at Menomonee Park, W220 N7884 Town Line Road.  There is a user fee required.  Contact the Lisbon Town Hall at 262-246-6100 for information and enrollment.

Bugline Recreation Trail

The trail begins at Appleton Avenue in Menomonee Falls and ends in Merton on Main Street.  Biking and hiking are allowed on the entire 10.5 mile distance.  No motorized vehicles*, including motor bikes, ATVs, cars and trucks are allowed on the trail.  Local municipalities and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department will enforce the rules of the trail.  There is an access point at Lisbon Community Park with parking available.

* Snowmobile access to trails is allowed at Stone Family and Community Parks.  Access and parking at designated sites only.  After dark parking is allowed.

Ice Skating

Flooded ice skating rinks will be maintained (conditions permitting) during the months of December, January, and February at Community Park.  The rink has excellent parking facilities and is lighted until 9:00 p.m.

Easter Egg Hunt

The annual Easter egg hunt is held in Lisbon Community Park in even numbered years and is held in Sussex Armory Park in odd numbered years.  Contact the Lisbon Town Hall or Sussex Village Hall for details.

Memorial Tree Program

Remember a loved one by having a memorial tree planted in one of the Town Parks.  Choose one of several available species and work with our Park Superintendent on the location.  Contact the Town Hall at 262-246-6100 for details, forms, and costs. Get the form here.

Adopt a Road

The Park & Recreation Department oversees the Town of Lisbon adopt a road program.  With this program groups "adopt" a particular section of a Town Road.  The group is responsible for semiannual cleanup along their section of roadway.  The Town will provide signs, vests, and bags for the cleanups.  To adopt a road or to get more information contact Bob Faith at 262-246-7271 or .

Senior Citizens

An annual picnic is held at the Town Hall Park and Pavilion.  Contact the Town Hall at 262-246-6100 for details.

Fees and Charges

Fees and charges are assessed according to the needs of each program.  No refunds will be given unless the Park and Recreation Commission cancels a class or activity.  Once a class or activity has started no refund will be given.

Hospital/Medical Insurance

The Town of Lisbon does not provide insurance coverage for participants in sponsored events.  Participants are encouraged to obtain their own coverage prior to participation in an activity.

Starting times, dates and locations vary with each activity.  For information regarding weather postponement watch the Town cable channel, read the local newspapers, or call the Town Hall at 262-246-6100.

Park Permits

A Permit is required for reservation of park facilities.  Permits can be obtained at the Lisbon Town Hall.

Residency

The Town of Lisbon and The Village of Sussex have a reciprocal agreement for residency rights relative to Park use.  Any resident of either the Town or the Village is considered a resident of both communities for all park use and co-sponsored activities.
